GRAI

GRAI (Autonomous Interpreting Group) is a horizontally organised, anti-authoritarian and autonomous collective that supports social and environmental groups, organisations and movements with alternative interpretation equipment in transnational meetings. We provide support with simultaneous interpretation and train volunteer interpreters for the events we attend. We use alternative technical equipment that can successfully replace conventional interpretation equipment, which is often financially inaccessible.

We’re located in eastern europe, in so-called romania, but we can travel wherever we are needed. Our goal is to make interpretation equipment as accessible as possible in order to encourage more inclusive and diverse participation, and to overcome language barriers in transnational events.

We do not support groups that have a discriminatory and/or authoritarian discourse.

Find out more about simultaneous interpretation and don’t hesitate to contact us if you need any assistance with interpretation for the event you are organizing.
